Gravity

When you and I walked along the lakes shore, time passed and not a word was spoken.
There was an electricity sparking between us.
I caught the scent of your hair when you playfully whipped it around.
The way your smile curled as we laughed over nothing had me blushing.
Gravity seemed to want us together.
I took a breath and reached for your hand.
Not knowing that you were reaching for mine.
Our hands bumped and we glanced to each other with our cheeks rosy red.
You rested your head on my shoulder and wrapped your arm through mine.
Peace.
Peace at long last.
The electricity erupted into a beautiful and terrifying thunder storm.
I kissed your forehead and you looked up to me.
Our steady pace stopped.
Time seemed to standstill as if waiting and watching for what we do next.
All at once, our lips met.
Any and all conceptions I had made of love vanished with a single kiss.
We shared breaths and heartbeats.
This moment that was over too soon, seemed never ending.
I knew right then and there.
Without a single doubt.
That forever and always.

I would love you.
