I raise my banner against the dark

Let me slip from life with swords piercing the night

I welcome the unknown masters of the void beyond

For I am ready for a fresh fight from untempered foes

Father’s before me, bless my crossing with fearsome delight

For my yesterdays are spent

My tomorrow’s have come to collect

But I will not retreat into that infinite darkness
