Empty Castle
Loneliness is a castle.
Its foundation crooked.
The moat deep and filled with stagnant water.
Holes in the roof allow animals to sneak in.
Dust everywhere and on everything.
Its windows broken and boarded up.
Rooms sealed off, the keys lost.
Down in the dungeon there is a secret place.
Lit by a dim candle.
Where the lonely soul paces restlessly.
Waiting for nothing and everything.
